Bruce is a therapeutically qualified Optometrist who has successfully led the team in Browns Bay with Barbara, his wife, since 1992. Well experienced in general optometry, Bruce now enjoys the challenges of the modern profession. He continues to ensure that Nicholls & Associates is providing its customers with quality products and services with modern equipment and techniques.

With an interest in contact lens fitting, Karen is kept busy staying up to date with ever changing lens designs, and has a reputation for accuracy in her work. Her clients are regularly commenting that she makes eye examinations enjoyable!

Germaine is a therapeutically qualified Optometrist who graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales in 1999. She worked in Australia and spent time as a teaching supervisor at the School of Optometry at the UNSW. Germaine has taken part in volunteer vision aid projects in Fiji, Nepal, Tanzania, Mongolia and Samoa. In 2018 she completed a Certificate in Myopia Control (Brien Holden Vision Institute).
Over the years patients at Nicholls Optometrists have come to appreciate Germaine’s thoroughness, accuracy and cheerful approach to her optometry work.
OPTICAL STYLIST
Few people have the ability to know instantly which frame will look great on you – Barbara has that ability. Many customers now want her to recommend a new frame style for them. With a design background and her understanding of fashion trends and styles she keeps the range of frames on display fresh and current.
MANAGER
Catherine is the heart of the practice, always chatting and liaising between customers and suppliers. As practice manager she makes sure first class service is delivered and your needs are taken care of. Well known in Browns Bay for offering an honest opinion and warm smile.

Robyn works part-time at Nicholls and Associates and also for the Eye Department at Greenlane Hospital. She is therapeutically qualified, and has a keen interest in ocular pathology. She also enjoys childrens’ vision, and helping those with reduced vision to maximise their remaining sight with the use of low vision aids.

Georgia, who graduated with first class honours from the University of Auckland, finds the most rewarding part of being an optometrist is helping people improve their vision and ensuring their eyes are healthy. She also enjoys dispensing new glasses and has a talent for matching face shapes to frame designs.

Christine completed her Bachelor of Optometry degree with honours from The University of Auckland. She is therapeutically qualified and passionate about providing eye care to preserve vision through early detection of eye conditions and delivering optimal vision with spectacles and contact lenses. She also speaks fluent Korean. Outside of work she enjoys playing the violin and spending time cooking with family and friends.

Initially trained as an optometrist and now working part time Adrienne enjoys helping with frame choices in addition to dealing with the more technical aspects of lenses. With her extensive knowledge she is able to offer help and advice in many situations.

Vicky is a qualified Optometrist who immigrated to New Zealand with her family in 2016. She has quickly become a valued member of our optical team, and approaches her new role here with great energy and enthusiasm.
